When it rains it pours

After six weeks of beautiful weather on the weekends, Mother Nature has finally come to it’s senses. For the past three days it has been overcast and rainy; what I expected Seattle to be like. Of course the worst of the rain is happening today, the day that I had a soccer game at 11am. Good news is that we won, but we were all completely soaked and freezing by the end. I’m still wearing four layers and bundled up in my apartment, with no plans of exiting any time soon, especially if the rain is going to keep up.

One thing I’ve learned from my many years of playing sports, is that playing in the rain is the only time when it’s enjoyable to be completely soaked. You really don’t mind it because you’re so focused on getting in position and scoring a goal that you honestly don’t notice the rain. Once you’ve accepted that you’re going to be completely wet, you stop worrying and thinking about it.

We went out to celebrate one of the coops 21st birthday this past Friday, and luckily it wasn’t raining too hard as we were walking around Ballard.

Ballard is awesome by the way, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

It doesn’t always pour when it rains, but when it hasn’t rained in a while, pouring rain is often a common occurrence.
