Let’s see here.
For the past six months I have been working as a co-op at IBM as part of Northeastern’s experiential learning program. It has been an extremely rewarding experience and I am so glad to have done it. When I haven’t been working full-time, I’ve been spending a lot of time coaching. I coached all of the goalies for a local youth hockey team, and also worked for the Future Rangers Learn to Skate program. I started coaching a girls lacrosse team in April and it’s helped me realize how much I love coaching. I’ve been doing it for the past five years, and yes, there are definitely some ups and downs, but the positives always outweigh the negatives.
I haven’t been getting on the ice as much as I normally do (or probably should), mainly because I’ve been so busy coaching and I’ve been hitting the gym a lot. I am absolutely in love with the Les Mills classes that my gym offers. Every class I am even more surprised at how much I enjoy it.
I have also been taking some Krav Maga classes, which I am not only finding very useful for real life, but they’re also extremely fun. I never thought I’d meet so many new people at the gym.
So this is where I am right now. Of course more has happened over the past few months, but I’m not going to get into that now.
